The ANZCTR now automatically displays published trial results and simplifies the addition of trial documents such as unpublished protocols and statistical analysis plans.

These enhancements will offer a more comprehensive view of trials, regardless of whether their results are positive, negative, or inconclusive.

The safety and scientific validity of this study is the responsibility of the study sponsor and investigators. Listing a study does not mean it has been endorsed by the ANZCTR. Before participating in a study, talk to your health care provider and refer to this information for consumers

The sample size has been calculated using G*Power 3.1.9.2 software through F tests with ANOVA: Repeated measures, between group. By maintaining a large effect size, Cohen f=0.4, the sample number estimated for this study was 20 participants per group (Power of 0.812). In order to prevent sample loss by the end of the study, 22 participants will be admitted in each group. Thus, 44 participants will be recruited in this study.
To analyze the intervention effect statistically, Mixed Model ANOVA will be used to compare the time effects, group effects and interaction effects between both groups.

Summary
Brief summary
Knee Osteoarthritis (OA) is a leading cause of disability among older adults worldwide. Virtual Reality-Based Therapy (VRBT) has been an increasingly popular method for enhancing physical functions in rehabilitation. However, there are limited evidence of the effectiveness of VRBT in improving physical functions such as lower limb strength, functional stability and aerobic capacity among older adults with knee OA. The aim of this study was to evaluate changes in physical functions following VRBT intervention among older adults with knee OA. We expect VRBT is just as effective as conventional physiotherapy in improving physical functions among older adults with knee OA.
