The ANZCTR now automatically displays published trial results and simplifies the addition of trial documents such as unpublished protocols and statistical analysis plans.

These enhancements will offer a more comprehensive view of trials, regardless of whether their results are positive, negative, or inconclusive.

The safety and scientific validity of this study is the responsibility of the study sponsor and investigators. Listing a study does not mean it has been endorsed by the ANZCTR. Before participating in a study, talk to your health care provider and refer to this information for consumers

Description of intervention(s) / exposure
Septorhinoplasty surgery follow-up forms of patients were retrospectively obtained for duration of surgery, patient age, height, weight and other demographic characteristics, induction and maintenance used in anesthetics during the procedure, perioperative systolic and diastolic arterial pressures and heart rate, and the perioperative amount of fluid given. Edema and ecchymosis score at 1 hour, 24 Hours, 7 days and 10 days were obtained. The degree of edema was assessed by 4 degree scale and ecchymosis was assessed by 5 degree scale. This information was used to determine any relationship between the amount of perioperative fluid given and the occurrence and severity of edema and ecchymosis after surgery.
