The ANZCTR now automatically displays published trial results and simplifies the addition of trial documents such as unpublished protocols and statistical analysis plans.

These enhancements will offer a more comprehensive view of trials, regardless of whether their results are positive, negative, or inconclusive.

The safety and scientific validity of this study is the responsibility of the study sponsor and investigators. Listing a study does not mean it has been endorsed by the ANZCTR. Before participating in a study, talk to your health care provider and refer to this information for consumers

Intervention/exposure
Study type
Interventional
Description of intervention(s) / exposure
Psychomotor Exercises are indicated to improve certain difficulties in the execution of movements. Exercises such as rolling, crawling, motor coordination, gait crusade will be performed. Strategies such as awareness through brief explanations of what these exercises improve including the balance will be used to ensure that there is adherence to research. It was performed in group sessions under caring for a physiotherapist. The volunteers performed the psychomotor exercises with duration of 60 minutes, three times per week, during three months. After the end of the research, all the participants will return to re-perform the examinations of balance by Berg scale, stabilometry and even the baropodometry.

Summary
Brief summary
The study evaluated the impact of the intervention on psychomotor balance of elderly. The balance was evaluated by baropodometry, stabilometry and by Berg scale before and after the intervention. The results of discharge of weight and area of plantar surface before and after the intervention, showed no statistically significant difference. The surface area and speed step, before and after the intervention showed statistical significance. In stabilometry with closed eyes showed difference in parameters of average speed oscillatory; anteroposterior oscillation and surge area (Ellipse) and with eyes open there was no statistical difference. These results suggest that the psychomotor intervention was effective in improving the surge area, oscillatory average speed, oscillation anteroposterior and gait.
