The ANZCTR now automatically displays published trial results and simplifies the addition of trial documents such as unpublished protocols and statistical analysis plans.

These enhancements will offer a more comprehensive view of trials, regardless of whether their results are positive, negative, or inconclusive.

The safety and scientific validity of this study is the responsibility of the study sponsor and investigators. Listing a study does not mean it has been endorsed by the ANZCTR. Before participating in a study, talk to your health care provider and refer to this information for consumers

Summary
Brief summary
To address these reported gaps in the literature regarding the clinical efficacy of implantable hearing devices, a global prospective observational study (a patient registry) has been developed to assess the effectiveness of hearing habitation with the aid of implantable hearing devices in infants and young children up to the age of 10 years, in their everyday life.

Public notes
Observational studies do not require EC approval in all jurisdictions.

The first centre to join the trial and recruit patients did not require EC. This means that he first patients recruited occured before the first EC approval was granted, which is appropriate in this context.

No patients will be recruited before EC approval is granted in a jurisdiction in which EC approval is applicable.
